      Having goals to aim for in life. This health aspect is different from purpose. Purpose is a more fixed long term aim or vision for life while goals are more "operational" and can often change. Most goals have a scope between 2 months and 5 years.

      Having goals contribute to health and well-being[3][4][5][6][7][8]. Achievement of goals is predictive of health and life satisfaction[1]. Pre-committing yourself to difficult goals in organizations can lead to increased performance[2]. Impediments to goals pursuit is associated with a reduction in well-being[3][8][9].
